FERPZEPORE POLICE NABS 3 DRUG PEDDLERS, 2 KG. HEROIN WORTH 10 CRORES RECOVERED

The Ferozepur Police has arrested three drug peddlers and recovered 2 kg heroin from them.

While divulging details, Bhupinder Singh SSP said that following the inputs, a naka was laid near Gunder Dandi village in Mamdot block during which two drug smugglers identified as Balkar Singh resident of Pojo ke Hithar and Gurmit Singh resident of Ghurka village in Fazilka district, were nabbed while they were coming on a bike from Guruharsahai side.

(SUBHEAD)The SSP said that during the frisking, 506 gram heroin was recovered from Balkar Singh while 501 gram heroin was recovered from Gurmit Singh. Both the accused had been booked under NDPS Act at Lakho ke Behram police station, said SSP, adding that during the preliminary investigation, the accused revealed the name of their accomplice identified as Lakhwinder Singh resident of Sethan Wala village in Mamdot block.

A trap was laid to nab Lakhwinder also and 1 kg heroin was recovered from him too. “All the accused had been produced in the court for police remand and more revelations are expected in this case during the upcoming days”, said SSP
