PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Bazidpur, held its much-awaited Annual Function today, celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Punjab under the vibrant theme “Rangla Punjab”. The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, students, and staff, making it an unforgettable occasion.
The Chief Guest for the event, Sudesh Rani, wife of MLA Shri Rajnish Dahiya, along with the Guest of Honour, Dr. Satinder Singh, Deputy DEO, and the Special Guest, Gur Awtar Sharma, Chairman of the School Management Committee, added grace to the celebration. The function was also honored by the presence of Team Mayank Foundation, a group dedicated to social causes and youth development.

She also expressed her pride in the school’s achievements and the remarkable efforts of the students in promoting Punjabi culture. The stage was set for a cultural extravaganza as the students presented a variety of traditional Punjabi Folk Dances, including the lively Gidda, energetic Luddi, graceful Sammi, Suhag, and the ever-popular Bhangra. Each performance was a beautiful portrayal of Punjab’s vibrant traditions and the students’ exceptional talent, leaving the audience spellbound.
Adding to the excitement, meritorious students who excelled in academics and extracurricular activities were felicitated with Certificates & Mementos. These awards were a recognition of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. As a token of appreciation, all staff members were also honoured for their tireless efforts in shaping the future of the students.
Their contributions were celebrated, reflecting the school’s commitment to providing quality education and a nurturing environment for every student. The event was a perfect blend of culture, education, and celebration, bringing together students, teachers, and the community to cherish the spirit of Punjab. The function concluded with a vote of thanks from Principal Surinder Pal Kaur, who expressed her gratitude to everyone for making the event a grand success.
