The 14th Surinder Jakhar Memorial Tournament organized by the Panjkosi Sports Society concluded at Panjkosi village.

In the final match, Chathewala team batted first and scored 204 runs in 20 overs. Manpreet contributed 11 sixes and 4 fours. He scored a total of 104 runs. Then, Khuian Sarwar's team was all out on a score of 164 runs. Manpreet was adjudged “Man of the Series”, he, in total, scored 304 runs and took 8 wickets.

(SUBHEAD)MLA Sandeep Jakhar, said that the tournament was designed to save the youths from the pit of drugs. It is still felt that the drug menace which has ruined thousands of families cannot be stopped by government efforts alone. The river of drugs can be curbed only by connecting the youth with sports.

The chief guest, ad-hoc President of Rajasthan Cricket Association and Sriganganagar MLA, Jaideep Bihani said that late Surinder Jakhar not only led the cooperative movement to its heights but also tried well to save the youth power by his campaign against drugs. Keeping that tradition intact is a commendable step.

Sriganganagar's renowned socialite Vikas Godara congratulated for the success of the tournament and said that such initiatives boost the morale of the youth.

Director of Panjkosi Sports Society Surinder Jandu and Co-Director Yadvinder Matharu thanked all.
