THREE GOVT SCHOOLS IN FAZILKA DISTRICT WIN THE BEST SCHOOL AWARDS

The Education Department, on the basis of a survey, has audged Govt Senior Secondary School Gidderanwali best among senior secondary schools in Fazilka district and awarded a prize of Rs 10 lakhs. Govt High School Katehra has been declared the best high school of the district and awarded Rs 7.5 lakhs. Govt Middle School Daulatpura has been adjudged best among middle schools and rewarded Rs. 5 lakhs.

These schools have acquired the achievement of the basic infrastructure, students’ admissions, exam results, extracurricular activities, beautification of the school campus.

District Education Officer (Elementary and Secondary) Satish Kumar, Deputy DEO (Secondary) Pankaj Kumar Angi and Deputy DEO (Elementary) Parvinder Singh presented award money cheques to Principal Jaswinder Singh, Headmistress Geetu Chagti and school-incharge Sanjiv Kumar at a simple ceremony organised at the DEO office in Fazilka.

The recipients thanked the Education department and said that the amount would help in betterment of the respective schools. They will feel stronger and encouraged to take their schools to new heights in academics and extra-moral activities.
