A Civic Action Programme was organized at Govt Primary Smart School at village Rete Wali Bhaini in AoR of BOP GG Base, Ex-19 Bn BSF. The event was inaugurated by Gunjan Kumar Shah, 2IC (Adm), Offg. Comdt, 19 Bn BSF. The programme was attended by villagers from Rete Wali Bhaini, Jhangar Bhaini, Gulaba Bhaini, Old Gatti, Mahatam Nagar, Teja Ruhela.
Sports items – Skipping Rope, Chess Board, Football, Carrom Board and Running Shoes worth Rs 60,068 were distributed among the students.
Gunjan Kumar Shah, 2IC (Adm), Offg Comdt of 19 Bn BSF, encouraged the youth and school children to actively participate in sports activities, highlighting their benefits in maintaining physical fitness and the potential to pursue sports as a professional career and contributing to the prevention of smuggling from the society. He reminded the school teachers about their role in moulding the character of youth and nation building and urged them to motivate children for health and fitness and protect them from the menace of drugs.
The local villagers and school faculty expressed their heartfelt appreciation and sincere gratitude for the commendable efforts in the form of civic action.
