The Sadar Jalalabad police station has achieved another success under the war against drugs.
A team of Inspector Rupinderpal Singh in-charge CIA Fazilka-2 (Camp at Abohar) under the supervision of Jatinder Singh DSP Jalalabad and Balkar Singh DSP Investigation was patrolling the area of Sadar Jalalabad police station to check the suspicious persons.
During the patrol, the police stopped a youth on suspicion at village Sukhera Bodla- Fattu Wala link road and searched him. One kg of heroin was recovered from him in an envelope. The youth was identified as Manpreet Singh alias Manni, resident of Hazara Ram Singh Wala.
A case has been registered against him under Section 21-C of the NDPS Act, at Sadar Jalalabad police station. The investigation of the case is ongoing. The accused will be questioned in depth in remand.
