MAYANK FOUNDATION IN COLLABORATION WITH ARMY ORGANIZES ‘CYCLOTHON FOR ENVIRONMENT’ UNDER ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION PROGRAMME

In a significant stride towards promoting environmental awareness and sustainable living, Mayank Foundation successfully organized the ‘Cyclothon for Environment’ under its Environment Education Programme. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 250 cyclists, including personnel from the Indian Army and various cycling groups, who pedaled a distance of 12 kilometers to advocate for a cleaner and greener future.

The GOC of the Golden Arrow Division flagged off the event, adding to the spirit of the occasion and reinforcing the importance of environmental conservation. Before the flag-off ceremony, Army officials and Team Mayank Foundation also planted saplings, symbolizing their commitment to a greener planet.

This impactful event was organized by Mayank Foundation in collaboration with the Punjab State Council for Science & Technology and the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India. The initiative aligns with national efforts to promote environmental sustainability and instill a sense of responsibility among citizens towards nature.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepak Sharma , founder Mayank Foundation emphasized the need for community-driven efforts in tackling environmental challenges. They reiterated the Foundation’s commitment to environmental conservation through awareness campaigns, plantation drives, and educational programs.

The ‘Cyclothon for Environment’ met with overwhelming support from participants and the local community, making it a resounding success. Mayank Foundation extends its gratitude to all stakeholders and looks forward to organizing more such initiatives to create a lasting impact on society.
