CABINET MINISTER ARORA PAYS TRIBUTE TO MARTYERS AT ASAF WALA WAR MEMORIAL ON INDO PAK BORDER

Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora  on Saturday paid tribute at the Shaheedon Ki Samadhi, Asaf Wala, situated on Indo Pak Border.

Arora emphasized that the memorial, dedicated to the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation during the 1971 Indo-Pak war, is a sacred place. He highlighted that the sacrifices made by these great warriors are a source of inspiration for the country. He paid homage to these martyrs, acknowledging their unparalleled sacrifices.

Speaking about the anti-drug campaign, he said that the Punjab Government has initiated a strong movement against drugs, receiving significant public support. He stated that the police have been actively dismantling drug supply networks, and the government has provided law enforcement agencies with the freedom to act professionally. He underlined that public participation is crucial for the success of this campaign, ensuring that Punjab will emerge victorious in this battle against drugs.

(SUBHEAD)Regarding the state's development, Aman Arora mentioned that the Punjab Government has taken a firm resolve to ensure holistic growth across the state. He announced that each legislative constituency has been allocated Rs. 5 crore to address local developmental needs. He also responded to public demand by announcing the establishment of a Sewa Kendra in Asaf Wala.

Earlier, Fazilka MLA Narinder Pal Singh Sawna highlighted the government's special focus on the development of rural and urban areas.

Deputy Commissioner Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu welcomed the dignitaries and paid tribute at the memorial site. Other prominent attendees included SSP Varinder Singh Brar, Chairman of the Martyrs' Memorial Committee Sandeep Gilhotra, committee members Praful Chander Nagpal and Shashikant.
