Mrs. Durga Bisht (51) wife of Kailash resident of Flat No. 91 Gulmohar Train Society, Dhakoli in Zirakpur reported to have been killed by her drunken husband with knief this evening on Monday. Police have arrested him on the statement of deceased son Akash. She was a nurse at Alchemist Hospital in Sector 6 Panchkula. Police said, there were many stab wounds on her  body. She left behind her 3 sons. Police recovered knife from the spot.

Police have taken the body into custody and sent it to Derabassi Civil Hospital for postmortem. Police investigating the matter.  

According to initial reports, the police were informed by the son of the deceased who when he came home found his mother's body lying on the floor, which had multiple stab wounds. The deceased's husband Kailash was present at the spot and the police interrogating him.

Durga Bisht's body has been sent for postmortem to ascertain the cause of death. The police also probing the personal and professional life of the deceased togather more information and clues.
