CBI ARRESTS TIS HAZARI COURTS READER IN A BRIBERY CASE

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the accused Reader to ASJ-02, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 20,000 from the complainant in a bribery case..

The CBI registered the instant case on 23.04.2026 against the said accused based on a complaint., which was filed by Ms. Nisha Gaur, Advocate, T-5, Vardhaman Premium Mall, Deepali Chowk, Pitampura, Delhi-110034, representing her client, Shri Dhanush Raj, who is an accused in FIR No. 41/26 registered at PS Nihal Vihar, Delhi. The complainant had moved a bail application on
behalf of her client before the Court of Ms. Kadambari Awasthi, ASJ-02, Tis Hazari
Courts, Delhi.

It is further alleged that Shri Sanjeev Sadana, Reader to ASJ-02, Tis Hazari Courts, demanded a bribe of 30,000/- from the complainant for facilitating the  allowance of the said bail application. The complainant expressed her unwillingness to pay the bribe and requested legal action against Shri Sanjeev Sadana.

As per directions, the complaint was marked as CO – 36/2026 and has been verified by undersigned in the presence of an independent witness, Shri Ajay, UDC, O/o Joint Director In-charge, ESIC, SRO, Sector-7, Rohini, Delhi. Verification revealed that the suspect officer, Sanjeev Sanjeev Sadana, Reader to ASJ-02, Tis Hazari Courts, demanded a bribe of 30,000/- from the complainant for
facilitating the allowance of the bail application, in the matter of Dhanush Raj. In this
regard, ,  It was alleged that the accused Reader demanded a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from the complainant for facilitating the allowance of the bail application of her client.

The CBI laid a trap on 23.04.2026 and caught the accused red-handed while demanding and accepting of Rs. 20,000 as part payment out of total bribe of Rs. 30,000 from the complainants. The aforesaid accused person has been arrested.Further investigation is under way.
