Chandigarh Police today formally unveiled its *Diamond Jubilee Logo* to commemorate *60 years of distinguished service to the citizens of Chandigarh*. The logo was unveiled by *Dr. Sagar Preet Hooda*, Director General of Police, UT Chandigarh, marking the beginning of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of Chandigarh Police.
Speaking on the occasion, the DGP highlighted the remarkable journey of Chandigarh Police over the past six decades and its evolution into a modern, technology-driven, citizen-centric police force committed to ensuring safety, security, and public trust. He emphasized that the Diamond Jubilee celebrations would serve as an opportunity to reflect upon the achievements of Chandigarh Police while reaffirming its commitment towards professional excellence and community partnership.
As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Chandigarh Police had organized a *Diamond Jubilee Logo Design Competition* for students of Government and Private Schools across the city. The competition witnessed an enthusiastic response, with *approximately 450 students* participating and showcasing their creativity and artistic talent.
The competition aimed to engage the youth in the celebrations and provide them with an opportunity to contribute to a historic milestone in the journey of Chandigarh Police.
On this occasion, prizes were distributed to the winners as well as participants of the competition:
* *First Prize:* *Bhuvnesh Sharma*, Class X, Ryan International School.
* *Second Prize:* *Meenakshi*, Class XII, GMSSS Sector 23.
* *Third Prize:* *Rakshit Kumar*, Class IX, GMSSS Karsan.
Chandigarh Police expresses its gratitude to all participating students, schools, teachers, and parents for their enthusiastic involvement and contribution to this memorable initiative.
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations will feature a series of public outreach programmes, community engagement activities, sporting events, cultural programmes, awareness campaigns, and initiatives aimed at strengthening the bond between the police and the public.
