LEADERS IN THE FIELDS OF EDUCATION, MEDICINE, AND SOCIAL WORK HONORED AT ST. PETERSBURG

They help us believe in friendship, love, and true human relationships”, said Mr Alexander Rzhanenkov, chairman of the Standing Commission on Social Policy and Healthcare of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg, in his video message, to the participants of the public event “The Change Makers: Invisible Architects of Our Society”.

Those honoured on the occasion included Prof. Viktor Romanov, Olympic cycling medalist, World Champion, USSR Champion, Rector / President of St. Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design (for 18 years).

Prof. Alexander Shabrov, Academician, Rector of St. Petersburg State Medical Academy (for 20 years).

Valery Asikritov, Director, “Pervy” Social Care Home for Children with Disabilities (He has headed this unique institution for 52 years, since its establishment, transforming it into a cutting-edge rehabilitation center).

Zoya Apevalova, President, Interregional Public Organization “Graduate Women’s Federation”; Deputy Director, Center for Executive Training (Kochubey Center) at National Research University, Higher School of Economics in St. Petersburg.

The ceremony was graced with the presence of Usha Didi, vice-chairperson, BK Political Wing Mt Abu and a group of 12 dedicated BK servers including sister Pravina, sister Jagruti, sister Kokila and others.
