Acting on allegations of financial irregularities in development works under the MGNREGA scheme, the district administration has suspended a Technical Assistant posted in Ghall Khurd block with immediate effect, while ordering a detailed enquiry into the matter.
According to an official communication (No. 7876-7879 dated 23.04.2026) issued by ADC (Development) Krishan Pal Rajpoot, discrepancies were detected in multiple works executed under the rural employment scheme, prompting swift administrative action. The official, identified as Amrik Singh, has been placed under suspension pending investigation.
Talking to The Savera Times, Rajpoot confirmed that the matter is under thorough examination and refrained from divulging further details at this stage, stating that clarity would emerge only after the completion of the enquiry.
The issue reportedly came to the fore during a review meeting of ongoing development works in the block, chaired by MLA Rajnish Dahiya. Taking serious note of the findings, the MLA directed officials to initiate immediate action against those responsible.
