The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday said the BJP’s attempt to use Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids, intimidation and pressure tactics against its leaders in Punjab has exposed the BJP-led Centre’s growing desperation to crush political opponents through fear and vendetta. Reacting strongly to the ED action and reports linking his name to the raids, AAP Punjab President Aman Arora asserted that the BJP’s “politics of goondagardi” would never succeed in Punjab, while declaring that AAP leaders were not afraid of central agencies or threats orchestrated to arm-twist opposition voices into submission.

Stating that the repeated use of agencies like the ED and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against opposition leaders has now become a pattern across the country, Aman Arora said the BJP targets every leader who refuses to bow before it. He affirmed that AAP leaders were “soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal” who would continue to fight fearlessly for the people despite political pressure and false propaganda.

Reacting to the ED action, AAP Punjab State President Aman Arora said that it has become evident before the entire country that the BJP uses central agencies as political tools to target opposition leaders. “Whenever any leader or party refuses to bow before the BJP, agencies like the ED and CBI are unleashed against them,” he asserted.

Aman Arora said that just a few days ago, the properties linked to Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Mittal were raided in an attempt to pressure and arm-twist him into joining the BJP.
“Such incidents clearly expose the BJP’s agenda of misusing investigative agencies for political gains,” he added.

He asserted that AAP leaders and workers are not afraid of such tactics. “We are soldiers of Arvind Kejriwal. We are not scared of the BJP or its agencies. The more they try to intimidate us, the stronger we will emerge,” said Aman Arora.

He further said that the people of Punjab are closely watching these actions and will give a befitting reply to the BJP for undermining democracy and misusing constitutional institutions for political vendetta.

Taking to X, Aman Arora stated: “I have learnt through media reports that my name has been dragged into today’s ED raids. My entire life has been, is, and will always remain completely above board. I will neither be intimidated nor silenced by the BJP’s false propaganda and politics of vendetta.”
