ONE COUNTERFEIT CIGARETTES SUPPLIER ARRESTED BY THE NARCOTICS STAFF OF ROHINI.

 10 CARTONS CONTAINING 1,20,000 COUNTERFEIT GOLD FLAKE CIGARETTES RECOVERED.

A team led by Insp. Rakesh, Narcotics/ Rohini under the supervision of Sh. Ajmer Singh, ACP/Ops, has done a commendable job by arresting one accused person involved in supply of counterfeit Gold Flake cigarettes. A total of 10 cartons containing 1,20,000 counterfeit Gold Flake cigarettes of ITC Ltd. were seized, having an approximate market value of Rs. 15 lakhs. The Accused identiied as Akram, R/o Babarpur, Delhi, aged 32 years. 

 In view to curb the illegal sale and transportation of counterfeit items in Rohini District, several teams are working to uproot the supply chain.

On 16.09.26, a team of the Narcotics Staff comprising SI Ashok Tomar, HCs Yudhbir and Dharambir received credible information regarding the movement of counterfeit cigarettes in area of P.S. Prashant Vihar. Acting promptly on the information the team laid a trap near Japanese Park, Sector-10, Rohini, Delhi and apprehended one person, Akram.

The accused was found in possession of five plastic kattas, which, upon being opened, were found to contain ten cartons of counterfeit Gold Flake cigarettes of ITC Ltd. Upon further examination, a total of approximately 1,20,000 counterfeit cigarettes were recovered from the possession of the accused. The approximate market value of the recovered counterfeit cigarettes assessed at approx. Rs. 15 lakhs. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 966/2026, U/s 63/65 Copyright Act, has been registered at PS Prashant Vihar, Delhi and the accused person was arrested.
Further investigation is in progress said Mr. Shashank Jaiswal, IPS, DCP Rohini, Delhi.
