ONE-DAY MEDIA WORKSHOP ON CLIMATE CHANGE ON MAY 7

The Chandigarh Press Club, in association with ASAR, is organising a one-day media workshop on Climate Change — Heatwaves, Their Impact on Communities, and How They Can Be Tackled on May 7, 2026.

The workshop will focus on heatwaves and their specific implications for Punjab’s population, agriculture, and environment. It will explore the science behind heatwaves, their impact on the region, and strategies to mitigate and adapt to these challenges within Punjab’s unique socio-economic and environmental context.

The workshop is supported by the India Meteorological Department, Chandigarh, as the knowledge partner, said Mr. Rajesh Dhall, Secretary General of the Club.
