RAJASTHAN BAR COUNCIL FORMER PRESIDENT NAVRANG CHAUDHARY PASSES AWAY

Navrang Chaudhary (73), former President of the Rajasthan Bar Council, passed away after suffering a heart attack in the train while travelling from Sikar to Sriganganagar.

A native of Sikar district, Navrang Chaudhary, had gone to his village and boarded the train at 4 AM for Sriganganagar. During the journey, he suffered a heart attack inside the train. When the train reached Hanumangarh, fellow passengers informed the GRP. The police took the body to Hanumangarh Civil Hospital, where a post-mortem was conducted and the body was later handed over to the family. The body was brought to Sriganganagar in the afternoon.

The Rajasthan Bar Council and Sriganganagar Bar Association adjourned all judicial work as a mark of respect. Navrang Chaudhary had served as President of the Sriganganagar Bar Association. He was elected as a member of the Rajasthan Bar Council three times and also served as its President once.

He was a member of the state executive of the CITU trade union and also a member of the district executive of CPI(M) in Sriganganagar. Navrang Chaudhary fought lifelong for the rights of oppressed, backward, and poor workers. He had been practising law in Sriganganagar for nearly 40 years. He was known as a powerful orator and for fearlessly expressing his views
