NEWLY INDUCTED PUNJAB MINISTERS SWORN-IN, ARUNA & RAZIA ALSO TAKE OATH AS CABINET MINISTERS

The nine newly inducted Punjab cabinet ministers were on Saturday administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor V.P. Singh Badnore, along with the two Ministers of State who have also been elevated to the Cabinet rank.The simple swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Bhavan took place in the presence of Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and several other dignitaries, including senior Congress leaders Harish Chaudhary and Asha Kumari, as well as Punjab Congress president Sunil Jakhar. Chief Secretary Karan Avtar Singh conducted the proceedings of the swearing-in ceremony.

RTI DISCLOSURES ON CHAIN SNATCHINGS IN UT CHANDIGARH, NO DOPE TEST OF ACCUSED, EVEN REPEATEDLY STANCHINGS

RTI information received by RTI Activist –cum-Advocate Hari Chand from UT Police is quite revealing. In response to his RTI Application dated  23.3.2018, he has received information from Police Stations 3,11, 17 and Sub Division Central so far, with reference to snatchings which occurred on or after 1.1.2017. To a specific question raised “Whether dope test was conducted on any of the accused of chain snatching, and the further action taken for de-addiction of such an accused, who were found to be drug addicts?”, the  response from these Police Stations is uniform and consistent. None of them got conducted any dope test on accused.

INDIANA GOVERNOR DECLARES APRIL AS “NATIONAL SIKH HERITAGE MONTH”

Indiana Governor  Eric J Holcomb celebrated the 319th anniversary of “Creation of Khalsa Day” and on this occasion he also declared the month of April as “National Sikh Heritage Month” by the executive order of Proclamation.Sikh community leaders were invited at the Governor’s office and welcomed by the honorable Governor for the celebrations. At the end of the ceremony, the Governor presented them the official copy of the proclamation. Sikhs :Political Action Committee chairman Gurinder Singh Khalsa, along with other community leaders presented a token of appreciation while thanking him for keeping his promise of celebrating  Vaisakhi every year.
