The Free Eye Hospital managed by Sewa Hi Sewa Charitable Trust was inaugurated by Hon'ble Speaker Gian Chand Gupta in the presence of Kulbhushan Goyal, Mayor, Panchkula, at SCO 27, Sector 11 here today. The Sewa Hi Sewa Charitable Hospital is celebrating its first anniversary.Hon'ble Speaker, Gian Chand Gupta said that Rs. 5 lakh will be given to the Sewa Hi Sewa charitable trust from my side.
Ramesh Aggarwal, Sewadar, said that Sewa Hi Sewa Charitable Hospital was launched by Gian Chand Gupta on August 1, 2021. The hospital has served over 42,000 patients during the year. Many medical tests and medicines were given free of cost to needy patients. The eye hospital is a new addition to the existing hospital. Cataract (Motiabind) surgery will be performed free at the new hospital on a first come, first served basis.
He further said that the timing of the doctors is being increased for better healthcare assistance. After the expansion of the retina and cornea care sections, the eye hospital would be amongst the best in the region. The eye hospital boasts of a fully functional eye surgery theatre.A fully automatic physiotherapy facility is available with the lowest rates compared to any other charitable hospital in Tricity. Initially, there was only one dental chair, but with public support, there are now two dental chairs. Patients can purchase around 3 months of medicines at the same price they were spending on a month's medicines previously. The number of visitors has gone three times within a year.
The hospital has got the services of qualified doctors, physicians, ortho doctors, dermatologists, eye specialists, gynecologists, and physiotherapists. The hospital consultation fee is Rs 50 only, and those who cannot pay even this amount are given totally free treatment. Free blood sample collection facility is also available. The medical shop inside hospital is Tricity's first such place to provide 63% discount on branded and 20% discount on ethical medicines.
