Sh. Banwari Lal Purohit addressed press regarding the ongoing controversy over water issue, said that public representatives and officials are running it, but there is no doubt about it, but this corporation is different from other corporations because here the revenue and expenditure are not mixed like in other places.
There is a different situation in which the expenditure here is around 1150 to 1200 crores in which the revenue is 500 crores and there is a deficit of 6,700 crores in which then they ask money from us and then we accept from the center in which we are giving 560 crores to UT. Otherwise *they cannot pay monthly salary, on the contrary they threaten us. Sh. Purohit said that I have no objection as far as water is concerned, if we look at the loss then it would be Rs 150 to 200 crores and yet they talk about free water for which they have no money. What is their revenue? Tell us from where you will get the money and from where you will get the grant and if you want to do it, then give logic and explain it, after which take permission from us and this is *not jungle raj*.
