UT Chandigarh Administration annnounced Public Holiday on June 1, 24 on account of Lok Sabha Poll on that day.
Sh. Nitin Yadav , IAS, Home Secretary on Tuesday has issued notification No.6/1/1-IH(I)-2024/4367. Notification said, the 01st June, 2024 will be observed as a Public Holiday in all Offices/ Boards/ Corporations/ Institutions under the Chandigarh Administration and also within the meaning of Section 25 of the Negotiable Instrument Act, 1881, under the Chandigarh Administration on account of Lok Sabha Poll on that day.
This will also be a paid holiday in Industrial Shops and Commercial Establishment and for daily wages employees.
