The promo run for the third edition of the “Mukam Marathon”—inspired by the sacred pilgrimage site of the Bishnoi community—was organized starting from Mehrana Dhora. The run was dedicated to the memory of the heroes of the 1965 and 1971 Indo-Pak wars: Param Vir Chakra awardee Flying Officer N.J.S. Sekhon and Vir Chakra awardee Air Vice Marshal B.K. Bishnoi.
Flagged off at the Mehrana Dhora temple, the run passed through Sitto Gunno and concluded at the Sukhchain Gaushala. Fifty-two personnel from the Abohar BSF battalion also participated. Ankush from Himmatpura secured the first position in the competition. Riya, an eight-year-old girl from Mehrana village, participated in the promo run with great enthusiasm. She expressed her desire to become an IPS officer when she grows up and to serve the country and society.
Sukumar Sarangi, DIG of the BSF Abohar Sector, was the chief guest at the ceremony held at Sukhchain Gaushala following the run. Other dignitaries, including Air Force Warrant Officer Kuber Kumar, Major Bhadauria of the 20 Raj Rifles, former Colonel Udaypal Godara, DSP Amandeep Singh, and Saint Swami Ramsharan Das, paid tribute to the two war heroes. Registration for the ‘Mukam Marathon 2027’ was also launched during the event.
Additional Sessions Judge Sunil Bishnoi, Bishnoi Sabha Abohar President Subhash Delu, and other prominent persons were present at the event. At the conclusion of the program, a traditional Rajasthani meal was arranged for the runners, personnel, and guests at the Sukhchain Gaushala. The event concluded with the spirited chant of “Jai Hind
