Punjab government has declared a paid holiday on December 24, 2023 to enable the workers who are voters of Bye-Election of Sarpanch of Village Bhamme Kalan, Sardulgarh, District Mansa.
Divulging the details, a spokesperson said that to enable the employees working in the Shops and Commercial Establishments/Factories situated in the State of Punjab who are voters of Mansa to cast their votes in the Bye Elections of Sarpanch of Village Bhamme Kalan, Tehsil Sardulgarh, District Mansa has been allowed paid holiday on the day of poll i.e. 24-12-2023 (Sunday), so that the voters of the concerned Gram Panchayat working in the State of Punjab are able to cast their votes, where there is no holiday on Sunday in Shops and Commercial Establishments/Industrial Establishments.
He informed that Labour department has issued notification regarding this.
