In a befitting tribute to Mohan Alok, recipient of the Sahitya Akademi Award (1988) for his Rajasthani poetry book “Ga Geet”, a library was today inaugurated at the JR Tantia Charitable De-addiction and Rehabilitation Center, Sriganganagar by senior litterateur Neel Prabha Bhardwaj. Senior journalist Govind Goyal was the chief guest.
Describing Mohan Alok as the pride of the area, Neel Prabha said that he brought glory to the area and naming the library after him is an honour for the litterateurs of the entire district.
Govind Goyal said that whatever you write on social media can be deleted, but whatever comes in the form of letters in a book, it never disappears. He expressed hope that Mohan Alok Library will take the form of an ocean and people will benefit by picking pearls from it too.
Mohan Alok's daughter-in-law Durgadevi and grandson Anuvrat expressed their gratitude for this honour. Center in-charge Dr. Manish Baghla welcomed the guests. Councillor Vikas Rangera expressed his gratitude to all. Dr. Krishan Kumar 'Ashu', project director of the library also addressed.
Centre’s Project Director Dr. Vikas Sachdeva said that the library in the de-addiction center speaks volumes of the positive initiative of Dr. Mohit Tantia, Vice Chairman of Tantia University. Having deep respect for books and literature, he gave approval to open the library.
