Vijay Divas parade dedicated to the anniversary of India’s victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak War was taken out in Fazilka. Punjab Cabinet Minister Aman Arora participated in the parade that was organized by the Shaheedon-ki-Samadh Committee in collaboration with the district administration.
Aman Arora paid tribute to the martyred soldiers of the 1971 Indo-Pak war from the depths of his heart and said that today we are enjoying the warmth of freedom because of the martyrdom of these brave soldiers. He said that thesoldiers saved not only Fazilka but the entire country without caring about their lives.
(SUBHEAD)He said that today for the first time he has got the privilege of being a part of the parade. He also appreciated the performance of army personnel, school children and residents of the district.
The parade started from the DC Office complex near Shaheed Bhagat Singh Market and ended at the historical Ghantaghar Chowk.
Locals greeted the parade by showering flowers at various places.
Army Brigadier Manish Kumar Jain, SSP Manjit Singh Dhesi, MLAs Narinder Pal Singh Sawna, Jagdeep Kamboj Goldy and Amandeep Singh GoldyMusafir, ADC Ravinder Singh Arora, President of the organising committee Sandeep Gilhotra, General Secretary Praful Nagpal, Shashi Kant, Colonel RS Sodhi (Retd), Ranjana Gilhotra, 104 family members of the martyrs, army officers and a large number of district residents were present.
