BUS DEPARTS FROM KOTAKPURA FOR PILGRIMAGE TO SRI SALASAR DHAM AND SRI KHATU SHYAM FLAGGED OFF

PASSENGER BUS UNDER THE 'CHIEF MINISTER PILGRIMAGE SCHEME'. PUNJAB GOVERNMENT WILL BEAR EXPENSES OF PASSENGERS GOING ON JOURNEY: SANDHWAN

Under the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann led Punjab Government’s ‘Chief Minister Teerth Yatra Scheme’ today, Punjab Assembly Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan flagged off the passenger bus.

On the occasion of sending off the bus of pilgrims from Kotakpura to Sri Salasar Dham and Sri Khatu Shyam, Sandhwan said that with the initiation of this scheme, the people of Punjab will get free travel facility to visit various pilgrimage places across the country. He said that the expenses of the passengers going on the journey under this scheme will be borne by the Punjab Government.

S. Sandhwan said that under this scheme, pilgrimages will be made to the Holy Shrine Sri Hazur Sahib (Nanded), Takht Sri Patna Sahib (Bihar), Varanasi Temple, Ayodhya and Vrindavan Dham (Uttar Pradesh), Ajmer Sharif (Rajasthan). Apart from this, pilgrimages to Sri Anandpur Sahib, Sri Amritsar Sahib, Sri Salasar Dham, Sri Khatu Shyam, Mata Chintapurni, Mata Vaishno Devi, Mata Jawala Ji. He said that daily buses and trains have been arranged to go to these pilgrimage places from different districts of Punjab.

Giving good wishes to the passengers on this occasion, Sandhwan said that the means of travel for long-distance religious places will be by train and the means of travel for short distances will be through buses.

On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Faridkot Mr. Vineet Kumar along with dignitaries and administrative officials of the city were present.
