The students of Gopichand Arya Mahila College have won 22 prizes in the PU Zonal Youth Festival held at Dashmesh Girls College Badal.
Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa said that Varsha got third prize in Guddiyan Patole making, Kusum got third prize in making clay toys, Shalu got first prize in speech, Kaushalya Rani got first prize in Punjabi writing competition. Shruti got first prize in cartooning, Vanita first prize in Rangoli, Chahat second prize in clay modeling.
(SUBHEAD) Ishu got second prize in poster making and Divya got third prize in collage making. Daljeet Kaur and group won the second prize in Ladies Traditional Song competition. Mehak stood second in poetry recitation, Navjot and the group second in idiomatic conversation. College’s folk Orchestra won the third position and Diksha individually won the third prize.
Tamanna secured third position in the non-performance category. Kanchan stood second individually in group song while Harpriya stood third individually in Shabad singing. Priyanka won the individual third prize in Kali singing. Ripandeep Kaur won the third prize in Pakkhi Making and Shivani Rani won the third prize in Crochet Work. Swati won second prize in a poetry writing competition. Dr Shakuntala Middha was the overall incharge of the team.
