CHANDIGARH ADMIN COLLECTED 20.40 CRORES IN THE SHAPE OF LICENSE FEES FROM REMAINING LIQUOR VEND AUCTIONS

The Excise & Taxation Department, U.T., Chandigarh had invited the e-bids for remaining liquor vends on Thursday.

The last date to receive the bid was fixed for 06.04.2023. Department received total 05 tenders/bids electronically against 04 liquor vends/licensing units having a reserve price of Rs. 19.90 crores. The Department collected total revenue of Rs. 20.40 crores in the shape of license fees in today’s e-auction.

In the earlier round of tenders, Department had allotted 66 liquor vends through e-tender process. Department has so far received a total bid amount of Rs. 354.95 crore against reserve price of Rs. 330.87 crore from total allotted 70 liquor vend thus, registered a total increase of 7.28% over the total Reserve Price.

Further, after this round of bidding, the Department is in the process of publishing tenders for the next round of bidding for leftover vends with a reduction in reserve price.
