Lashing out on AAP halqa incharge and former MLA Arun Narang for blaming the Jakhar family and Municipal Corporation for neglect in urban development, Mayor Vimal Thatai said that Narang was trying to hide the government's failures.
Calling the allegations leveled by the AAP halqa in-charge as baseless, the Mayor said that Narang was trying to hide the failures of the AAP government. Despite being in power, Narang could not bring a single penny for Abohar's development for four years, nor did he make any effort to solve the growing problems.
Thatai said that as the elections are approaching, Narang has started criticizing the Jakhar family. He said that all the development work done in Abohar so far has been done only during the Jakhar family's tenure. Instead of making allegations, the halqa incharge should request CM Bhagwant Mann to provide funds to complete development works which were kept in limbo.
The Mayor said that the files for Abha Square, Abha Park, and other development works have been pending with the AAP govt for the last three years. Due to the lack of a permanent Commissioner in the Municipal Corporation, small bills are pending and no development work is being completed. Narang does not have the courage to demand the appointment of a permanent Commissioner for Abohar MC.
He said the Jakhar family’s vision was Abha Square to put development on track but the ruling AAP leaders got the same blocked.
