NGO Tammana – Loving To Live For Others successfully conducted its 173rd social and annual initiative, “PUNYA 2025”*, at Hansraj Dharamshala, PGI, Chandigarh, extending care and compassion to children and attendants undergoing long-term and critical medical treatments, including blood cancer, bone marrow etc.

The initiative featured meaningful interactions with patients and families, room-by-room distribution of blankets and essential supplies, Christmas tree decoration together with the children, a Santa Claus visit, and a cake-cutting ceremony, spreading warmth, hope, and festive cheer. The distribution was carried out _systematically_ to ensure fairness and dignity.

Recipients received a curated range of daily-use essentials, including blankets, woollen caps, mufflers*, gloves, towels, soaps, dental kits, sanitary pads, combs, fruits, biscuits, soft toys, indoor games, activity books, and stationery.

Volunteers experienced deeply moving moments, particularly witnessing young children bravely battling serious illnesses , supported by resilient families. Founder Ms. Isha Kakaria said, ‘’PUNYA 2025 was our humble effort to bring warmth, comfort and dignity beyond medical care. Witnessing the courage of these young warriors reinforces the power of compassion and collective humanity.”

SPOC Mr. Chandan Preet added, The room-by-room distribution ensured an organised and respectful flow. Our team members’ families’ involvement strengthened community spirit.”

Support was also extended to construction labourers at PGI, who received essential supplies, ensuring inclusivity in care. Ms. Priyanka Garg, Member, NGO Tammana, expressed gratitude to donors for helping spread comfort and cheer to families facing immense challenges.
