Border Security Force (BSF) , 'India's First Line of Defence' is going to organize a “BSF Marathon – 2022” with the theme “Dillan Di Daud Seema Prahari De Naal” “Hand in Hand with Border Population” “दिलो की िौड़ सीमा प्रहरी के साथ” as a part of “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” on 29th Oct’ 2022, which is open for male and female both categories races.
All the races will start from Amritsar city, Punjab and will terminate near International Border at JCP Attari, Amritsar. This Marathon is recognized by the ATHLETICS FEDERATION OF INDIA.(SUBHEAD)
In view of above, a Curtain Raiser programme was organized on 20th Oct’ 2022 from 1600 to 1700 hrs at JCP Attari, Amritsar. The programme was graced by Ms. Suman Sharma (Arjuna awardee in Basketball), Shri Kuldeep Singh Bhullar, Ex DC, BSF (Dhyan Chand awardee in Athletics) & Shri Asif Jalal, IPS, IG BSF Punjab Frontier, along with other BSF Officials.
During the programme, IG BSF Punjab Frontier briefed the media about Marathon – 2022 and Teaser and advertisement of Marathon was also shown on Video wall. After, the Curtain Raiser programme “Beating the Retreat Ceremony” was witnessed at JCP Attari.
