ANIRUDH AND VIJAY LOSE DOUBLES FINAL IN FAIRFIELD USA

FAIRFIELD (CONNECTICUT): Top seeded Great Britain pair of Julian Cash and Henry Patten won the doubles title at the expense of the Indian pair of Anirudh Chandrasekar and N Vijay Sundar Prashanth in the final by 6-3 6-1 in the $ 53,120 Taube-Hasse Pro Tennis Championship in Fairfield, United States..

It was an easy win for the British players. They won the first set at 6-3 by breaking Anirudh and Vijay in the second game in 29 minutes. Maintaining their pressure, Julian and Henry broke the Indian duo in the third, fifth and seventh games to win the second set in 21 minutes and the title.

Julian and Henry converted four out of six breakpoints. Anirudh and Vijay muffed a solitary breakpoint which came their way.

Julian and Henry earned $ 3100 and 80 points. Anirudh and Vijay got $ 1800 and 50 points.
