3RD STATE YOGASANA SPORTS CHAMPIONSHIP-2022 CONCLUDES

3rd State Yogasana Sports Championship-2022, the 2 days event concluded today at Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Sector 23 Chandigarh. The Event was organized in collaboration with Yogasana State Association, UT Chandigarh affiliated to NYSF Recognized by Ministry of youth affairs and sports, Government of India.

Dr. Sapna Nanda, Principal, Govt. College of Yoga Education and Health, Chandigarh, welcomed the Chief Guest of the valedictory ceremony- Sh Arun Sood , president BJP, Chandigarh chapter, Guest of honor Dr Virender Garg, OSD, Union Health Minister. Sh. Janak Magotra President of the Association, Ms. Meenakshi Thakur , Vice President , Mr. Roshan Lal , General Secretary , Mr. Jatinder Singh , Organization Secretary and Mr. Rohit , Technical Secretary and Ms. Sudha Rana, treasurer of the association .(SUBHEAD)

The chief guest while addressing the audience emphasized on the role of yoga in overall development of an individual and laid stress on adopting yoga in daily regime as only yoga has solution for all ailments. The guest of honour in his speech said that 11 September is the day when Swami Vivekananda spoke about Indian culture and now the yoga event is also organised on the same day which is going to bring laurels to yoga as a game.

Prizes were awarded to the winner’s of the competitions in various age groups and categories:-

Sub junior-9 to 14 years , Junior -14 to 18 years and Senior – 18 years .

Sub Junior traditional (Boys): 1. Kartik- Gold 2. Garv – Silver 3. Aman Sharma-Bronze

Junior Traditional (Boys): 1. Deepesh -Gold  2. Ram – Silver 3. Atul Sharma- Bronze

Senior Traditional (Boys): 1. Abhay – Gold  2. Lalji – Silver 3. Dalip – Bronze 

Senior Traditional (Girls) : 1. 1.Kajal – Gold 2. Simran – Silver 3. Laxmi – Bronze

Junior Traditional (Girls) 1. Ankita – Gold 2. Tanisha – Silver 3. Gurkiran Kaur – Bronze

Mr. Sumant Batish and Ms Anupma Batish sports incharge of the yoga college sponsored the student’s refreshment. Around 150 students participated in the event. The event concluded with the National Anthem.
