With the arrest of 1 passenger and 3 high profile agents, team of PS IGI Airport has again busted an immigration racket and succeeded in solving one case of cheating registered at PS IGI Airport vide FIR No. 268/2022, U/s 420/468/471/120B IPC & 12 PP Act PS IGI Airport, Delhi.
On 05/07/2022 complaint of Mr. Surender Singh Tanwar, (Immigration Officer) was received at PS IGI Airport. As per the complaint, on 04/07/22, one male passenger namely Aman Kumar S/o Hukum Chand R/o Jawahar Nagar, Safidon Road, Jind, Haryana approached to board the flight for Canada Via Dubai-Mexico by Flight No Ek-515 .
Tanu Sharma, DCP, IGI Airport, said, during immigration clearance and scrutiny of his travel document his Canadian Visa was found counterfeit. It was found that the pax had cheated Indian immigration by using illegal means to travel abroad. Hence case FIR No. 268/2022, U/s 420/468/471/120B IPC & 12 PP Act PS IGI Airport, Delhi.
During interrogation pax was interrogated and subsequently arrested. He disclosed that he got the forged VISA on the passport from his known agents namely Amit R/o Panipat and Yogesh Kumar R/o Hisar, as they both arranged the forged Canadian sticker visa from their known agents in Punjab and Haryana for Rs 20 lakhs.(SUBHEAD)
In order to burst the whole nexus a team consisting of SI Sumit Kataria, HC Birju Singh and Ct Nitin under the leadership of Inspr.Yashpal Singh SHO/ IGI Airport and supervision of Sh. Vijender Singh ACP/IGI Airport was constituted with the specific tasks and to locate the movement of alleged travel agent and to nab them.
The team worked meticulously, used the technical surveillance and also deployed the secret informers and finally succeeded in arresting the agents who conspired the whole incident with the help of their partners, namely Amit Kumar @ Mita S/o Balwan Singh R/o H No. 387, Kurana, Israna, Panipat Haryana and Yogesh Kumar @ Yogi S/o Dinesh Kumar R/o HNo 1611, Near Captain School, Shiv Nagar, Hisar, Haryana.
After sustained interrogation agents Amit Kumar @ Mita and Yogesh Kumar @ Yogi were arrested and they disclosed that they were working in connivance with one more agent namely Varun Chauhan@Arun Sharma@Sharma Ji and his associates since last 1 year. They are working as commission agents and introducers and they were supplying tentative passengers who were willing to fly to foreign shores by illegal means, to the agent Varun Chauhan, who affixed fake VISA STICKER on passport of the passenger.
During sustained interrogation, it was found that the accused Varun Chauhan was the mastermind of the entire racket. The team minutely scrutinized the modus operandi of absconding agent and it was learnt that the alleged person was not using his previous mobile numbers so it was difficult for the team to get his location.
After sincere efforts, the team through electronic surveillance and through secret informers obtained the details of his passport and Look out circular of the accused was issued.
On 18/08/2022 the agent Varun Chauhan was intercepted at Kolkata Airport while he was trying leave for Thailand in order to abscond from India.
Immediately, a team was dispatched and he was apprehended at Kolkatta Airport. After arriving at the PS IGI Airport his sustained interrogation was held and he was later arrested in the case. The agent disclosed that he is a IT Graduate and an Ex Sailor of Merchant Navy with Great Eastern Shipping Company, but he left that job because he had huge interest in Information Technology and use to make various web applications and software.
He is an expert in making forge documents like employment contract and Labor Management Information for various countries like Canada, Vietnam, and Russia etc after obtaining such documents the PAX can easily be cheated for money. He also uses to hack various websites in case the applicant directly wanted to apply for job from the employer.
He currently have clientage in India, Nepal, Afghanistan and in some African countries etc as he has made several on-line advertisement and website of proving help in settling abroad. He had arranged the fake VISAS with the help of an agent namely Krunal Kumar Shah and others. Further efforts are being made to trace and arrest agent Krunal Kumar Shah and his associates.
The recovered Laptop and mobile phone of the agent is being sent to FSL to procure the data and for forensic analysis.
PROFILE OF ARRESTED AGENTS :
Amit Kumar @ Mita S/o Balwan Singh R/o H No. 387, Kurana, Israna, Panipat Haryana. ( State Level Kabbdi Player), Yogesh Kumar @ Yogi S/o Dinesh Kumar R/o HNo 1611, Near Captain School, Shiv Nagar, Hisar, Haryana. ( Singer and Disc Jockey), Varun Chauhan S/o Sant Lal R/o HN. 4717, Street No. 15, Durgapuri, Haibowal Kalan, Ludhiana. ( BSc IT & Ex Sailor in Merchant Navy)
All the above agents are involved in arranging fraudulently obtained Canadian VISAS along with their counterparts in Haryana and Punjab. They are operating in rural areas of Punjab and Haryana and facilitate people in settling down in foreign countries by unfair means.
Further, investigation of the case is in progress.
