Police achieved major success by arresting accused persons namely Rahul @ Papad S/o Ramesh, a labourer R/o Jhuggi No- 63 New Indira Colony MM, Chandigarh, Age-27 Years, in Arms Act case FIR No. 93 dated 30.11.2025 U/S 25-54-59 Arms Act, PS IT Park, Chandigarh.
The complaint has been registered on the complaint of ASI Keshav Dahiya 1894/CHG PS IT Park, Chandigarh. On 29.11.2025, during patrolling duty they nabbed person namely Rahul @ Papad S/o Ramesh and recovered one kamanidar knife from his possession which he was carrying without any license/permit. Accused arrested on the spot and case has been registered against above named accused in u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act.
Under the directions of Ms. Kanwardeep Kaur, IPS, W/SSP/UT, Chandigarh and the close guidance of Smt. KM Priyanka, IPS, W/SP/City a dedicated team comprising Inspector Usha Rani, SHO/PS-IT Park under the close supervision of Sh. Vijay Singh, DSP/N/East was constituted to prevent, detect and solve the crime. With the tireless efforts of the team, Chandigarh Police was able to nab the accused before committing any crime/offence. The accused has been arrested in this case and 01 Kamanidar Knife recovered from his possession. He is involved in seven cases registered Manimajra and IT Park Police stations.ost
