Police achieved a major success when the joint Police teams of South West Subdivision under the directions of Sh Mridul, I.P.S, A.S.P South West Division Chandigarh & supervision of Inspector Gyan Singh SHO/PS-39, Inspector Jaspal Singh Bhullar SHO/PS Sector36 & Insp Satnam Singh SHO/PS Maloya arrested the suspect Raju and worked out a sensational case of Murder i.e. FIR No. 73 dated 19.05.2022 U/S 307, 302 IPC PS 39, Chandigarh.
Police said, at 08: 35AM on Thursday , information received from Police Control Room that Two un-known persons are lying in the park adjacent to e-Sampark Center Sector-38-D, Chandigarh in injured condition. Both injured rushed to hospital for treatment. Duty doctor of PGI declared one of them is brought dead and one un-known is still under treatment.
During investigation, the name of one suspect Raju emerged. Being a sensational case of murder, joint police teams from all three Police Stations were constituted. In the afternoon, police team from Maloya Police Station, including Const Pradeep, Const Sandeep and Const Naveen and led by Inspector Satnam Singh, SHO Maloya, apprehended the said Raju S/o Sh Chitra Bhajan Lodh, R/o House No. 2207, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh Age43 years from Maloya Colony, Chandigarh.(SUBHEAD)
Interrogation from Raju is being made accordingly.
Accused Raju disclosed during interrogation that at about 11:00 PM, while he was returning to his house, deceased Manoj @ Panda & injured Kishori met him near Sampark centre where they had an altercation regarding his rickshaw. On this, accused became aggressive and during night at about3/4:00 AM, while they were sleeping, he went there and picked a heavy stone lying nearby them in park and hit both of them in head, i.e Manoj @ Panda & Kishori with the intention to kill them. Due to this they sustained grievous injuries. After that accused Raju fled away from spot.
The accused identified as Raju s/o Chitra Bhajan Lodh R/o House No. 2207, Maloya Colony, Chandigarh Age-43 years occupation-Rag Picker, Qualification: –Illiterate, divorcee.
