Police Station of IT Park reported to have apprehended three accused Aalam S/O Sher Mohammad, R/o Ambwala, Panchkula, Chandi Mandir Cantt. Hr, Age-37/ Yrs and Jasveer @ Jassa S/o Karnail Singh, R/O Vill-Alipur, Panchkula, Haryana, Age-21/Yrs and Rahul Kumar @ Rana S/o Ashok Kumar, R/O Vill-Majari, Teh-Garh Shankar, Distt-Hoshiarpur, Punjab, age-34 yrs in illegal mining and theft of govt sand without any permit/license.
Police said on Saturday, a team headed by emergency officer ASI Rubneen Kaur was on duty. Navneet Sharma, SDO sub division IV, CHB intimated that 123.79-acre area of land at IT Habitat Project at RGCTP Chandigarh is under the possession of CHB. This land is between Lalit Hotel and Kishangarh/Bhagwan Pura & Lake. This land is being supervised by the field staff of Sub-div. No. IV, under division of CHB and he is in charge of sub-Div. No IV.
He said, he along with Sh Rakesh Kumar J.T visited the area in the morning at round 09:20 AM noticed that some fresh excavation has been done and soil taken away. On this he reported the matter to police.
During course of investigation three above said accused has been arrested and two tippers and one Poclain used inillegal mining and theft of sand by illegal means, have been taken in police possession and case u/s 21 Mines and minerals act and 303(2)BNS has been registered in PS IT Park, Chandigarh.
In this regard a Case FIR No. 86 dated 01.11.2025, u/s 21 Mines and minerals act and 303(2) BNS, PS- IT Park, Chandigarh registered against him and they were arrested in this case.

Age 21/Yrs, also Truck driver., Rahul Kumar @ Rana S/o Ashok Kumar R/o Vill-Majari, Teh-Garh Shankar, Distt-Hoshiarpur, Punjab, aged 34 yrs, by profession Poclain driver.
