CHANDIGARH ADMINISTRATION GIVEN FINAL TOUCH FOR PREPARATIONS AT SECTOR 42 LAKE FOR CHHATH PUJA

Final touches have been given to the preparations at Sector 42 Lake for the forthcoming Chhath Puja celebrations. Sh. C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, U.T., along with officers of the Engineering Department, inspected the lake to ensure all arrangements were in place.

Key works completed include the installation of CCTV cameras and the establishment of a 24×7 control room to maintain vigilance against unauthorized activities. Additionally, adequate lighting arrangements with power backup have been provided to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply. The bridge at the lake has been repaired and painted, while the entire premises have been thoroughly cleaned. Proper parking facilities have also been arranged for the convenience of devotees and the general public.

Sh. Rajendra Singh, Chairman; Sh. D.K. Singh, President; and Sh. U.K. Singh, Senior Vice President of the Purvanchal Welfare Association, Chandigarh, along with Sh. Chanderma Mishra, Co-Convener, BJP Purvanchal Prakoshth Punjab, expressed their sincere gratitude to the Hon’ble Administrator, U.T. Chandigarh, for his visionary guidance that ensured timely execution of all arrangements.

The Association also appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Engineering Department, U.T. Chandigarh, for completing the necessary works well before the festival, thereby facilitating the smooth and safe conduct of Chhath Puja celebrations.
