Chandigarh Power Distribution Limited (CPDL) has installed a 20 MVA power transformer at the 66 kV grid substation located in Industrial Area, Phase-2. The transformer was inaugurated by Surinder Gupta, President of the Chamber of Chandigarh Industries (CCI).

Several prominent industrialists, including Vinod Mittal, Naveen Miglani, Arun Goyal, V.S. Saluja, and Arun Mahajan, were present on the occasion, along with members of the CPDL team and officers from the Electricity Department of the Chandigarh Administration.

Speaking on the occasion, CPDL Director Arun Verma said that the newly installed transformer will effectively help address the issue of power shortage in Industrial Area, Phase-2, which often faced electricity supply constraints during peak demand periods.

He further announced that as part of CPDL’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the city’s power infrastructure, another 20 MVA transformer will soon be installed in Industrial Area, Phase-2, while one transformer has already been commissioned at the IT Park, Chandigarh.
