UT CHIEF ENGINEER VISIT TO REVIEW PROGRESS OF WORK FOR UPCOMING CHHATH PUJA

In view of the upcoming Chhath Puja festival, Sh. C.B. Ojha, Chief Engineer, along with other officers of the Engineering Department, U.T. Chandigarh, conducted an extensive site visit of Sector 42 Lake to review the progress of ongoing works being undertaken to ensure the smooth and safe celebration of the festival, which is traditionally observed by large gatherings.

The visit focused on key aspects such as cleaning of the lake, repair and maintenance of infrastructure, and the provision of adequate lighting and other essential arrangements. The objective is to ensure that all necessary facilities are in place well ahead of the festival to accommodate the expected footfall of devotees.

During the inspection, the Chief Engineer directed the concerned officials to expedite the remaining works and maintain high standards of quality and safety. Emphasis was laid on timely completion of all preparations to facilitate a seamless and secure environment for the devotees.

The Chief Engineer assured that all necessary efforts are being made to provide a safe, clean, and well-organized setting for the Chhath Puja celebrations. Regular monitoring and follow-ups will continue in the coming days to ensure that all tasks are completed on schedule.
