LONG-TIME PU-TOPPER DAVC ABOHAR CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

DAV College, Abohar’s NSS department in collaboration with the Yoga Centre, today organized a camp as part of the International Yoga Day celebrations, continuing its annual tradition. Hundreds of students and distinguished guests participated, striving to maintain their physical health through yoga.

Dr. Kiran Grover emphasized the adage, “A healthy mind resides in a healthy body.” She highlighted DAVC’s commitment to its social responsibilities, stating that the yoga camp is a testament to this endeavor. She expressed her hope that students would regularly incorporate yoga into their lives. Under the guidance of Swami Sukh Ram, DAV College Abohar has consistently secured the first position in yoga championships at Punjab University, Chandigarh, for over 30 years. His contributions were duly acknowledged and praised.

Usha Ranade and Hari Krishan Verma revealed that despite his advanced age, Mansa Ram Kantiwal, a senior member of the Yoga Centre, leads a healthy and active life. The utility of yoga has significantly increased, and many individuals have benefited greatly from it. NSS volunteers Harshit and Bhawna demonstrated various yoga poses, inspiring everyone to adopt them in their lives. The participating students pledged to maintain their health through yoga and exercise. Those present included Dr. Rajesh Khatri, Yoga Guru Swami Sukh Ram, NSS Program Officer Sanjeev Kumar, and the members of the Yoga Centre.
