The PG Department of English of Gopichand Arya Mahila College organized “Les Avant-Gardes Verbaux (A Battle of Wit & Verse).
The event featured a Quiz Competition and a Poetry Recitation Competition, in which students participated enthusiastically and showcased their literary skills and command over English.
The Chief Guest, Charu Ahuja, motivated students and shared practical tips to refine their English language skills. The Guest of Honour, Advocate Shruti Bhimwal, shared her college experiences and sensitized students about women’s rights. The Resource Person, Dr. Reema Pahuja, delivered an insightful extension lecture highlighting the importance of the English language in academics and professional life.
Medals were awarded to the winners and mementos presented to the distinguished guests.
In her address, Principal Dr. Rekha Sood Handa appreciated the efforts of the Department of English and congratulated Dr. Seema Somani (Head, Department of English), Amandeep Kaur (Co- coordinator), Shivangi Vij, Ushaminder, Ramandeep Kaur, Shiksha, and Muskan for successfully organizing the event.
