The Golden Arrow Division of 7 Infantry Division today commemorated its 63rd Raising Day with a poignant wreath-laying ceremony and a heartfelt tribute to its Bravehearts at the Barki Memorial, Ferozepur Cantt. The event commenced with a wreath-laying ceremony, where Major General R S Manral, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding, Golden Arrow Division, along with other senior officers and serving personnel paid homage to the bravehearts who made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation. The bugle call of “The Last Post” resonated through the air, creating a truly moving atmosphere.

Following the wreath-laying, a special felicitation ceremony was held to honour the distinguished Veterans of the Golden Arrow Division. On behalf of the Indian Army, the GOC also presented a Modified Scooter to a disabled Soldier Sepoy Gurwinder Singh, hailing from Ferozepur.

Speaking at the occasion, GOC lauded the unwavering commitment and sacrifices of the veterans, emphasising that their legacy continues to inspire the current generation of soldiers.

The 63rd Raising Day celebration served as a reminder of the Golden Arrow Division's rich heritage, its operational excellence, and its unwavering commitment in safeguarding the nation's western borders. The event concluded with a resolve to uphold the highest traditions of the Indian Army and continue to serve with courage and distinction.
