MLA SANDEEP JAKHAR SEEKS 4.5 YEAR REPORT CARD FROM CM MANN AND SISODIA

MLA Sandeep Jakhar has questioned AAP why work was not completed on various projects—ranging from the Abha Square (Mini Secretariat) initiated during the previous government’s tenure to the Nehru Stadium project, bus stand renovation, and the Sappanwali Veterinary College and Hospital.

Taking to the social media, Jakhar asked: How much grant was released for development work and where used.

He has posed direct questions to Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP’s Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia regarding the development of Abohar. Jakhar stated that the people of Abohar, instead of false, want a complete account of the last four-and-a-half years.

Jakhar said that the Aam Aadmi Party’s Punjab leadership should present a full report card for Abohar in the ‘court of the public.’ He questioned how many promises were made, and how many were fulfilled. He added that the public deserves to know who is responsible for the development works that remain incomplete to this day.

The MLA said that Abohar’s problems cannot be solved through false publicity or statistics, but rather through actual work on the ground. He reiterated that development is not achieved through posters, foundation stones, or advertisements; it requires tangible work at the grassroots level.

Addressing Sisodia, Jakhar said that he should ask the AAP’s Abohar team what this area had received over the past four and a half years.

Jakhar asserted that the people of Abohar would hold the government accountable for every incomplete project, every promise, and every official claim. He emphasized that mere publicity would no longer suffice; instead, a comprehensive report card backed by accurate data must be presented to the public.

He stated that the question is straightforward: “Abohar is asking—where is the account of the last four and a half years. Stones were laid but work was still awaited in many cases.”

The MLA had earlier raised questions concerning lack of development funds for the Municipal Corporation but none responded
