CHANDIGARH TEAMS DOMINATE ON DAY 2 OF 43RD JUNIOR NATIONAL SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

The 43rd Junior National Softball Championship being hosted by the Chandigarh Softball Association at Panjab University witnessed thrilling matches across both boys’ and girls’ categories. Chandigarh teams displayed exceptional form with the girls beating Goa 12-0 in the league round and then routing West Bengal 10-0 in the Pre-Quarterfinals. The boys also impressed when they overpower Goa 12-0 in their opening encounter.

(MOREPIC1)In other girls’ matches, Jammu & Kashmir defeated Bihar 14-2, Kerala blanked Bihar 10-0, Rajasthan beat Orissa 5-0, Haryana thrashed Pondicherry 10-0. In the Pre-Quarters, Telangana edged Delhi 6-5, Rajasthan beat Himachal Pradesh 7-0, Chhattisgarh outclassed Orissa 2-1, Madhya Pradesh past Tamil Nadu 2-0, Haryana defeated Maharashtra 3-1, Kerala overpowered Gujarat 12-0 and Punjab overcame Jammu & Kashmir 10-6.

In the boys’ section, Kerala beat Goa 8-1, Rajasthan defeated Pondicherry 5-0, Tamil Nadu routed Bihar 13-0, Uttarakhand won over West Bengal 14-4, Delhi beat Himachal Pradesh 4-0, Chhattisgarh crushed Tamil Nadu 10-0, Punjab hammered West Bengal 15-0, Telangana edged Delhi 2-0, Orissa beat Jharkhand 10-0, Jammu & Kashmir defeated Gujarat 15-0 and Pondicherry beat Uttar Pradesh 10-0.
