ABOHAR ON THE BOIL, ARMED MISCREANTS VANDALIZE SALON; THREE INJURED

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

Abohar has witnessed a series of incidents involving assaults, firing, and vandalism over the past ten days. Another such incident occurred late Wednesday night in the Nai Abadi area. Armed miscreants allegedly barged into a salon located on Street No. 11 and vandalized the premises. Three people, including a customer, were injured in the incident. The attackers also damaged a motorcycle parked outside the salon.

According to reports, the attackers entered the ‘Stylorial’ saloon and caused damage to the property. They fled the scene when an alarm was raised. Upon receiving the information, a team from City-2 police station arrived at the site and initiated an investigation. A total of three individuals, including a customer present at the salon, sustained injuries and were taken to the civil hospital for treatment.

This incident comes amidst a spate of serious crimes reported from various parts of the city in recent days. Incidents such as the shooting of a youth outside the Valmiki Temple in Sant Nagari, a clash involving gunfire between two groups at the New Grain Market, and a brawl within the Tehsil complex have heightened public concern regarding law and order. Additionally, numerous cases of physical assault etc. have also been reported across the city.

Given this series of incidents, the police now face the dual challenge of apprehending the perpetrators quickly and restoring public confidence in the city’s security. Meanwhile, political parties are also raising questions regarding the law and order situation
