Surender Sharma, Vice President, Punjab State; and Karan Singh, National Secretary for Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh. Other names associated with the gathering included Kunwar Ram Kirpal Singh, Madhav Prasad, Deepak Datta and Kamaljeet.

On this occasion also witnessed Sukhwinder Singh Bhutter joining the National Lok Swaraj Party. The party leadership welcomed his decision to join the organisation and expressed confidence that his association would contribute to strengthening the party’s presence in Punjab. His joining comes as the party seeks to expand its organisational network and connect with more people across the state.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chander Gupta announced that the National Lok Swaraj Party would contest all Assembly seats in Punjab. He said the party aimed to promote people-centric politics, strengthen grassroots democracy and address issues concerning farmers, women, youth and other sections of society.

Dr. Gupta emphasised that the party opposed caste- and religion-based politics and would work towards promoting humanity, national unity and Punjabi identity. He also highlighted the importance of the Swaraj movement inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and referred to the 73rd and 74th Constitutional Amendments of 1992, which strengthened local self-governance in India.
