Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested two accused, including accused Sub Divisional Inspector (SDI), India Post Madiyahu, Jaunpur, (UP) and a private person for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs. 25000/- from the complainant.

A case was registered by CBI on 19.05.2025 against accused Sub Divisional Inspector (SDI), India Post Madiyahu, Jaunpur, UP on allegations that accused conducted inspection of India Post, Branch Office Seur, Jaunpur on 15.05.2025 where the complainant is currently posted as Branch Post Master. During the inspection, it was alleged that a cash shortage was observed and accused SDI asked the complainant to submit a clarification for the same.
