In a proud moment for the border town of Ferozepur, 16-year-old Tanishka Chopra, a Class 10 student of DC Model Senior Secondary School, has clinched the second rank at the national level in the CBSE Class 10 examinations, while topping the state of Punjab. Tanishka scored an astounding 499 out of 500 marks.

The CBSE declared the results yesterday evening, sparking celebrations at Tanishka’s home and school. Hailing from an academically inclined family, Tanishka’s success is being hailed as a beacon of inspiration for students across the region.

“I used to study for four to five hours daily without a break. I never felt the need for tuition because I believe that with consistent self-study, a student can achieve anything,” said Tanishka with a smile.

Sharing her dream, she added, “I want to become a doctor and serve the poor and needy. It has always been my childhood goal. I’m thankful to God, my parents, and my teachers for guiding me on this path.”
Her parents, Rajesh and Manju Chopra, both from the field of education, have been her constant pillars of support. “We never had to push her to study. She was always self-motivated and focused on her goals. By God’s grace, she has made us all proud today,” said Rajesh Chopra, brimming with pride.

School Principal Yachna Chawla praised Tanishka’s dedication, calling her a consistent achiever. “She has been with us since nursery and has always stood out for her sincerity and hard work. She truly deserves this honour. I also wish to thank our dedicated teachers and management, especially CEO Dr Anirudh Gupta, who always strive to nurture every student’s potential.”
