ABOHAR’S GOVT. DE-ADDICTION CENTER GETS TOP POSITION IN TREATMENT

Raj Sadosh/Abohar.

In the direction of providing better treatment and a new life to people struggling with the problem of addiction, Abohar has made its mark at the national level. It has come to light that Dr. Mahesh’s Psychiatry and De-addiction Center, located in the Civil Hospital, Abohar, has been ranked first across India for providing excellent treatment for addiction, mental illness, and HIV.

This achievement received special recognition in the field of de-addiction treatment at the national conference held at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (NIMHANS) in Bengaluru.

Commenting on this achievement, Dr. Mahesh said that the real credit for this honour goes to all the staff members working with him, who work day and night for the treatment and care of patients. He said that bringing people struggling with addiction back to a normal life is a collective effort, in which everyone, from doctors to other staff members, plays an important role.

This achievement has enhanced the pride of Abohar’s health sector. It also highlights the importance of better medical services, a dedicated team, and a sensitive approach toward patients in the fight against addiction.

Notably, Dr. Mahesh has addressed a large number of de-addiction programmes organised by the various educational institutions and NGOs in the past few years.
